Biblical formation is at the heart of the life and ministry of the Congregation of Notre Dame de Sion. Members of our community regularly gather to pray and reflect upon the Word of God, drawing on Jewish and Christian sources and tradition. Together we study and reflect upon the Gospel and the readings of the Christian Lectionary as well as on the scriptures we share with the Jewish people through our study of the Parashat HaShavuah. Our study of the Word is further nourished by our celebration of the Eucharist and community prayer. In addition to this, our Contemplative Sisters witness to the same vocation in a life dedicated to prayer and silence. International groups of the Sisters and Brothers of Sion also use the monastery for ongoing formation, pilgrimage, study, meetings and retreats, making the Monastery of Notre Dame de Sion at Ein Kerem an important part of the life of the Congregation.
