Our Chapel is characterised by its simplicity and beautiful acoustics. This place of prayer might best be described as an icon of the charism of Notre Dame de Sion. The Chapel reflects sensitivity to our Jewish guests and other visitors whilst remaining true to our own Christian identity. In the sanctuary, the stained glass indows present Moses and Elijah, reminding us of the gospel story of the transfiguration and the tabernacle design employs the motif of the burning bush. On the side walls of the nave, stone and ceramic reliefs, depicting the Way of the Cross (Via Crucis), were created by Israeli artist Maud Friedland whose works have been exhibited locally and internationally. A sculpture created by a former Sister of Sion, Sr. Mary John, depicting Joseph teaching Jesus the Torah, can be seen on the wall at the rear of the Chapel.
